Kevin Smith is an experienced manager of National Vocational Qualifications in Management and Vocationally Related Qualifications.
As the Managing Director of a local Business School for six years, he and his staff trained candidates throughout Europe.
Since leaving the Business School, Kevin has been a business and training consultant for many SMEs in the region. Within the last five years he has worked with Devon Care Training Consortium managing the Management Education programmes and more recently the Registered Managers Award which attracted over one hundred entrants from private, public and voluntary sectors. The programme’s popularity was due to the very high pass rate amongst its candidates. The programme’s success was due to the use of E-Learning which Kevin developed. Kevin has hands on experience in the Care and Education sector having worked as a residential social worker and teacher in Devon.
Olga Palmer – IT Director
Olga is a highly qualified IT specialist responsible for managing and developing our elearning programs. She has a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Moscow University. Olga has gained experience in various financial, management and IT roles.

Joyce is a very experienced Trainer/Practitioner in the field of Working with Parents, Childcare including Foster Care and Health and Social Care
Becky Tucker – Our Internal Verifier
I am really enthusiastic regarding all areas of professional development, and have worked my way from leaving School with no qualifications, through to currently studying towards my Masters Degree in Education, beginning my dissertation at the end of March 2011. I have also recently started working towards my Level 4 NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques (BIT).
I have been an NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier since 2000, completing my first NVQ in 1997, beginning my career in Childcare, as an assistant, working my way up to setting Manager. I now work as a Risk Manager, in Plymouth at a Social Housing organisation.
Sharon Parrott – Course Director. Assessor/Trainer. CCLD, CYP, HPD, ILM L5 Award in Management
Sharon is a Course Director and until recently managed a highly regarded nursery in Mid Devon. On completing her City and Guilds CCLD Level 4 with us she decided to join our company as an assessor.
Wendy Gibb BSc (Hons), PGCE – Assessor
I have been involved in Early Years Education for the past 10 years, running a pre-school, becoming a teaching assistant then training as a teacher. Previously I worked in scientific research which is an excellent introduction for an assessor, promoting skills in observation, attention to detail and report writing.
Jon Lavin – People Development & Behaviour Specialist
Jon has been working with people and in a wide range of public and private sector organisations for over 18 years as a manager, mentor and development and behaviour specialist. He is the founder of The People Workshop, which specialises in developing customised, one to one and group interventions in the area of professional and personal development for people and businesses.
Jon uses a wide range of interpersonal skills derived from Transactional Analysis, Core Process Psychotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which he combines with his down-to-earth, fun approach and passion for working with people.
